weekly window shop ten things under £10

Fancy a little treat-to-self? Here are ten things I’ve found on my shopping travels this week – all of them under a tenner. Can’t get better than that. Unless it was five things for under a fiver, of course – maybe that’s one for next week…

colab london dry shampoo

First item – and I’ll return to this subject, possibly on Monday – but for now I am incredibly excited to tell you that my dry shampoo, Colab, is available at ASOS! So, if you need to pick up a can of the world’s best dry shampoo (probably) with your clothes shopping, head here and drop one in your basket…

the vanishing act of esme lennox

I’ve just finished This Must Be The Place by Maggie O’Farrell and I loved it. What I presumed, at first, was going to be quite a simple love story between two people turned into a complete and exhaustive study of an extended family, from nearly all the characters’ perspectives. It was so well executed and even though it was fundamentally the same story told many times over, it never felt over-processed or tired. It was touching and thoughtful. In a small way, Maggie O’Farrell reminds me of Anne Tyler – the way she can reel you into a family and totally immerse you in their lives. Anyway – this one’s next on the list: The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox. Just ordered it here.

Woven scarf, H&M, £7.99 here. Speaks for itself – part “Rupert Bear”, part “sort of Burberry” – and the perfect little accessory for the chillier evenings that seem to be creeping in.

Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm – always one of the best. Has an almost matted-down quality to it, completely non-shiny-non-greasy-non-sticky, and so brilliant to wear beneath lipstick. £9.50 here.

stationery liberty night notes

Do you often wake up in the middle of the night with brilliant ideas, only to find you can’t remember them in the morning? You need Night Notes. I need Night Notes. It’s going on my bedside table. £9.95 at Liberty here.

monki rose gold sunglasses

The shades that tick many boxes: glamorous, quirky shape, mirrored lenses, rose gold frames. Who could ask for more? They cost a tenner at ASOS here.

palm tree weekly notes diary

Get into my handbag, Palm Tree Weekly Planner! How lovely is this? It’s not date specific so you can start whenever you like – it would make a good little paper “backup” diary if you usually enter all dates into your iPhone but still like to have something in writing… £4.95 here.

You can never have too many headbands – I tend to use them mostly for when I’m applying my makeup or taking it off again, but now and then I do indulge in a bit of “real life” wear. This two-pack from ASOS has a grey turban and a nude one, both in soft fabric. I’ve ordered them already! £8 here.

fortune favours the brave eyeshadow palette

I really can’t get enough of this eyeshadow palette, created by Jane from British Beauty Blogger. I’ve used it for most of the summer and still haven’t run out of shade combinations! It’s a very, very purse-friendly £9.99 and definitely the one to bag if you already have a nude palette and want something more glitzy for the evening. Find it online here.

hm palm tree shirt

Back to palm trees for my “grand finale” and I must revisit this brilliant shirt from H&M. I’ve worn it so much, and I couldn’t believe they still have stock when I checked the website. It’s so flattering and soft and…cheap. £7.99 here.
