Triumph: Underpinning London Fashion Week.

Triumph Shape Sensation

I am pleased to announce that Triumph is sponsoring London Fashion Week this season. Pleased because the models will actually be able to wear some lovely underwear! Shapely, curve-giving underwear. In my photograph I’m wearing a Triumph shape sensation dress – I’ve had it since last year and it has saved me a number of times when I’ve felt a little “bumpy” around the hip area. It really pulls the body in at all the right places, but it’s not so structured that it bulldozes whole pounds of flesh into strange, new areas.

The right lingerie can make all the difference to an outfit – it should add shape, give support, but ultimately be almost invisible. Unless you want to make a feature of it, of course. The problem with lingerie usually comes when you need something seamless and smooth yet still supportive and shapely (that was a lot of lovely alliteration) – undergarments such as these can be hard to find.  So it’s good to know that Triumph are getting involved with the underpinnings – I’ve seen most of their ranges, now, and they have a lingerie solution for just about every sartorial dilemma!

Triumph will be providing lingerie for quite a few of the shows, including Nicole Farhi, Maria Grachvogel and Temperley London. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to pop along to some of them and see the underwear in action. (Now why does that sound so wrong?) I’ll keep you updated!

In the meanwhile, if you’d like to have a go at winning some tickets for London Fashion Week, head over to Triumph’s Facebook Page.

Oh, and on a sidenote, I have a tip for you. The shape sensation dress that I’m wearing in the photograph above is brilliant, but you have to put it on correctly to avoid injury. (Don’t laugh.) It’s tight. Real tight. Pull it up from your feet and do not, under any circumstance, try to roll it down over your head. I’m being absolutely serious. This thing would keep a whole litter of puppies contained, never mind just two.

This post has been sponsored by Triumph – many thanks. Please send more of the girdles, if you find any lying about!
