I don’t ever tend to get too excited about nail polishes – give me a nude or coral to bung on and I’m happy – but when these little delicacies from new brand Soigné landed in my PO Box…well. I have to admit that a little sigh of pleasure escaped from my cynical, seen-it-all-what’s-new-oh-yawn mouth. Because Soigné’s polishes look like the kind of cosmetic lovechild that would spring forth if Jo Malone’s packaging mated with a box of Ladurée macaroons. Chic, understated styling and labelling but with the most delectable, pastel-sweet shades inside the bottles…
And the boxes! Just look at this print!
Too lovely. I think that this brand is going to be a big hit when the website opens later on this month – you can keep an eye on it here.
I’m currently wearing Creme au Beurre on my nails, which is (as you’ve probably guessed) a lovely, creamy nude. The polish went on well but did need two or three coats. Probably because it was so pale. I’ll try a darker shade, too, and let you know how it applies. I think quite a few people might have tried Soigné already if they are subscribers to beauty services like Birchbox – does anyone have any feedback? Let me know in the comments section below!
Individual polishes will be priced at £11 and the sets (with five polishes) will be £38. You can find Soigné on Twitter here.
