The Omorovicza Facial

by | Dec 10, 2010

From the 12th-18th of December, Omorovicza’s senior therpaist, Adrienne Harsanyi, will be in residence at Liberty’s in London. She will be giving amazing hour-long facial treatments to Omorovicza customers for the price of £65, totally redeemable against purchase of product from the Omorovicza range.

You may know already that I’m a huge Omorovicza fan (there will be loads more recommendations coming up soon!) and so I was pretty excited to be invited for a session with Adrienne at Liberty. I didn’t do any facial ‘at-home’ bits and pieces for a whole week beforehand, just so I could reap the full benefits of my treatment!

Imagine my dismay, then, when the agency called and told me I had to fly to Germany! I had to miss my treatment! I couldn’t even re-schedule, as I was leaving for New York the following week. However, rather than have you lovely readers miss out on a cracking recommendation, I had an understudy (ha! Sorry Zoe, I couldn’t resist!) go in my place. So here’s her review – it’s still a model recommendation, just a different model! Zoe has appeared here on this very site before with a few recommendations – if you missed it then you can click here!

“After a hard days modelling (yes you heard me right!) with Ruth the week before last,  she kindly offered me a guest spot reviewing an Omorovicza facial at Liberty of London that evening. Now, in all honesty I’m not a massive fan of facials as I don’t understand the concept of a “putting stuff on and taking it straight off again” ritual, but the Omorovicza facial far surpassed any of my previous experiences and I have found myself truly converted!

Firstly, Omorovicza’s senior therapist Adrienne Harsanyi has the softest hands I’ve ever felt, which instantly put me in a trance to the point where I couldn’t ask her any questions during the facial. There’s no wonder she is fully booked until January! Then there was the product itself. Each layer she applied had the most gorgeous texture and aroma, but for me the standout products were the Thermal Cleansing Balm which provides a super-deep cleanse thanks to the mineral rich Hungarian Moor Mud, and the Queen of Hungary Mist which smells simply divine.

What made this facial exceptional for me was the method in which the products were applied. Adrienne uses traditional Hungarian Massage to work the product into the skin, there’s no lazy “slapping stuff on and scraping it straight off again” shenanigans. Techniques such as the ‘Piano’ and ‘Butterfly’ ensure the products are thoroughly absorbed whilst exercising the facial muscles at the same time. One of my biggest pet hates during a facial is when the therapist puts on a mask and then leaves you to ‘have a little sleep for 15-20 minutes while I basically go off and update my Facebook status’. None of that nonsense here, I got a divine hand and arm massage instead.

I can’t recommend the Omorovicza facial highly enough. It is well worth the £65 as it is, but with this price redeemable against any Omorovicza products you buy in Liberty it’s a steal. Buy yourself the Thermal Cleansing Balm and the Queen of Hungary Mist and you’ve basically got yourself a free facial, and if you are lucky enough to secure a booking with Adrienne you are in for a real treat!”

Humph. Jealous, much? I am! This facial is suitable for all skin types, and Adrienne will also address any skin concerns that you have. I think that it’s a great way to get acquainted with the Omorovicza products, too. Get yourself to Liberty!
