1) Sorry this post is late – email subscribers, you may be reading this on Monday morning rather than on Sunday, and I do apologise if your weekend felt empty without my words. Ha! It was my wedding anniversary yesterday (six years) and I had a lovely day with cousins and friends, pootling about on the river and sitting outside the pub in the sunshine. I expect that yesterday was a popular day for weddings, it being well into the summer and also a Saturday, so congratulations to anyone who tied the knot – hopefully you had some sunshine. Here I am, above, tying my own knot with the wonderful Mr AMR – I was so nervous throughout the whole thing that I was shaking like a leaf. From head to toe. Probably partly to do with the fact that I was wearing the spindliest, tallest pair of Louboutins underneath that dress, enough to make anyone sway in the breeze…

2) Short and sweet – no pets today, sorry! I’m hosting bookclub and all of my guests are vegetarian, which means that I have to actually think about what I’m going to cook. So off to Sainsbury’s I go with my Ottolenghi book under one arm and Dale Pinner’s Medicinal Chef underneath the other!
