1) I went to Provence with l’Occitane last week. I had dinner inside the amphitheatre at Arles! It was really quite special – all candlelit and atmospheric. Proper post to follow – I need to move all of my photos from my laptop to my big computer, which could take some time. My laptop (a little MacBook Air) is about to celebrate its FOURTH BIRTHDAY. And we all know that four, in computer years, is about the equivalent of three centuries. It may as well be a typewriter. Often, when I try and sync things to it, it just does a bewildered whizzing noise – the kind of noise I’d imagine a Victorian lady making if you sat her in front of a television screen.

2) Sales. I did my Hush shopping in the pre-sale, because I was worried I’d miss the bits that I desperately wanted. But now there are other things and they are even cheaper and my addiction, in all of its glory, continues. Top pick? The printed maxi dresses. They had all sizes left last time I looked, but lots of things do seem to be selling out quickly. Hush Sale.  I have been otherwise quite good, in terms of not spending. Actually, what the hell am I on about? Scrap that last comment. I bought an amazing Diane von Furstenberg leopard print coat in the Net-a-Porter sale and I’ve been trawling ASOS like a woman possessed! The dangers of living on the internet…

3) There were a few questions from readers regarding light sunscreen fluids and whether they contained alcohol. The fact is that yes, lots of the very light fluids do. l’Occitane’s Jenipapo sunscreen, however, doesn’t. Neither does the Dream Screen from Benefit. 4) That gorgeous silk Michael Kors dress that I posted about a few weeks ago has gone into the sale. It’s now £150. At last look there was only a small one left, but they also have it in the cream colourway in all sizes. Though the cream is more expensive. It’s a great little investment dress, though – shirt dresses are always in fashion and this one is brilliantly light and cool for summer. Zalando: Michael Kors
