Sunday Tittle Tattle (noun?): everything from the week that I have forgotten to post about, in easy brunch-sized chunks…

1) Happy Easter everyone! If you’d like to be ever so slightly put-off from eating your chocolate egg then do read the other post for today! You can thank me later, hee hee hee.

2) I haven’t been able to tweet much for the past few days, as some absolute ****** stole my phone on Thursday, right out of my pocket! I’m using Mr AMR’s old iPhone which has: no on/off button, no volume button and no vibrate/don’t-vibrate switch. Even the big round button below the screen only works if you press it in a very particular way! So, some of you may have missed the posts from the past few days. 3) Amazing re-discovery of the week: Eyeko’s Skinny Mascara. Eyeko relaunched their whole brand late last year and initially only brought back the mascaras. Brave move! The mascaras (Fat, Skinny and Curvy) are packaged in tubes so that you can squeeze out every last bit of mascara and the brushes are very well-designed. I initially disregarded the Skinny mascara because I preferred the idea of having fat, volumised lashes rather than ‘Long and Tall’, but I have (quite literally) had my eyes opened to it! The brush coats every single lash and makes them look longer and the formula is extremely long-wearing. I had big trouble getting it off with my Klorane Eye Makeup Remover! I’ll do a proper review with a photo soon…

4) Skin Saviour of the week: Skin Treatment Serum from Manuka Doctor. This is only the second product I’ve tried from Manuka Doctor (the first being the amazing Bee Venom Mask) and I’m very impressed with this one too. I used for the few days before a shoot I was on last week because my skin was oily, pre-menstrual and generally grotty-feeling. It really seemed to clear things up for me. It’s not a traditional ‘blemish’ product – there’s no salicylic acid, no tee-trea or deep-cleansing clay – the serum has antibacterial qualities thanks to the Manuka honey, but I think that it’s the cell-regeneration that really helps to brighten up the skin. The pesky little ‘time of the month’ spots were kept at bay quite nicely, though I did have three absolute belters all of this month that nothing seemed to be able to touch!
