Sunday Tittle Tattle

study time

Sunday Tittle Tattle (noun?): everything from the week that I have forgotten to post about, in easy brunch-sized chunks…

 1) Dissertation Update: words written, zero. Words of research read? Twelve. Books ordered on Amazon that are completely unrelated and only ordered as a distraction? ELEVEN.

2) What’s in the Maje bag, you’re wondering? And I shall tell you. I don’t actually have the time to put everything on and photograph it, but I can show you at Selfridges and on the Maje website. I love this brand – have I mentioned that before? I could have bought about 25% of the stuff in the store, and that is an incredibly high hit-rate for me! Usually I go around the shops with a face like thunder, muttering about the number of ZIPS on everything and the fact that designers feel the need to CROP all of their tops and jackets. I don’t want cropped tops, thank you very much! And why is everything mesh, or panelled with sheer sections? Good God.

I digress: in the bag there is a lovely bomber-style boucle jacket – weirdly styled, here, I think, but I like it nevertheless. It looked a lot better with what I had on! (Jeans, black vest top, pumps.) You can find it at Selfridges here.

I also bought the BEST SHORTS IN THE WORLD (I look terrible in shorts but these look pretty good on, if I may say so myself!) which you can see here and some sporty tapered pants. Pants as in trousers, not as in knickers. You can see the trousers on Net-a-Porter. Nice, no? I love a bit of sport-luxe, me! I have to say that the styling in the online pics all seems to be a bit of a let-down – the stuff looks amazing in the store!

3) What do you call a sheep with no head and no legs? A CLOUD! I’ll leave you with that most hilarious joke – I can’t take credit for it, I heard it in the pub last weekend.
