I’m not a huge fan of glitter – it gets everywhere and is difficult to remove. But I put my own hang-ups aside for the evening and recorded a very Christmassy makeup video using a selection of budget and high-street brands. One brand that stood out as being incredible value was MUA at Superdrug – everything costs just £1, so it’s a great way to try out new trends, or buy products that will only be used a few times. The matte eyeshadow (shade 17) is almost identical to the colour of my skin, and so it’s a useful shadow to have lying about – I can use it on it’s own just to hide redness and discoloration, or as a base shade.
17’s Starry Eyes Trios are also well worth a try – the shadows are really pigmented and the coppery gold colour in the ‘Neptune’ trio is perfect for Christmas!
