Sexy little skincare sets for those thinking of introducing friends and family to something new, beauty-wise; most of these are “tried and tested”; the Aesop is unknown territory but one that I’ve had my eye on for a good while.
The first on the list is the Hello Sexy mask set from Glamglow – one large Supermud and one smaller pot of the original pore-vacuuming, skin-scouring face treatment. Both do have quite lovely results, so long as your skin isn’t too sensitive. They are pretty full-on but a bit of a guilty pleasure, for me; instant results and an almost minty-fresh sensation! The set is £49.99 at Feelunique.com
Skincare doesn’t get much sexier than Zelens, in terms of performance: this box set is the full deal for red carpet skin. An effective, fast-working mask, overnight peel pads for chemical exfoliation and a pot of the Repair Balm. Dr Marko knows his stuff; this is for serious skincare buffs and it has a serious price tag to match: £245 at SpaceNK here. *update: gone online, now, but check local store.*
Decleor never fails to please, I find, and this clean-looking coffret has a trio of hydrating products that will suit most skin types. There’s a light hydrating cream, a peel cream and a serum and the set costs £44.50, quite a significant saving on actual value of the products, which is £81. On FeelUnique there is also a free gift offer running – buy two Decleor items (gifts count as one) and you get a gorgeous candle. Details for the offer here, skincare set here.
A cheerful bag from Ole Henriksen – filled with some nice goodies, including a pack of some of the only wipes I’ll ever put near my face. They remove all makeup and don’t leave my skin feeling tight or stripped – brilliant for travel to hot countries!
The set also includes deluxe travel sizes; the gorgeous rosehip oil, a bottle of Ole’s powerful antioxidant serum and the red tea cleanser. The set costs £29.50 with free delivery here.
Aesop is a brand I’ve had my eye on for a very long time, but my testing list never gets any shorter and so far, I haven’t managed to give any of their products a proper try. So my interest has been piqued by this “Potency” set, containing three products from the Parsley Seed range; cleanser, toner and hydrator.
Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback and opinions on this range when I asked on Twitter and Instagram – many of you swear by this Parsley Seed stuff, especially the mask, which unfortunately isn’t included in the set… You don’t save a hell of a lot by buying the three products as a set, but the packaging is very cool and it makes a posh gift. I’ll let you know how I get on with Aesop – if you want more details about the set then you can find it on Cult Beauty here.
And last but by no means least in the Sexy Skincare list, the Caudalie Beauty Elixir in a brand new outfit. This is the special L’Wren Scott edition – very chic. Inside the bottle, a wonder water that refreshes, revives and tones the skin and that has become a bit of a cult beauty item. I know it’s not a skincare set, but it is sexy. It’s £28.50 with free delivery here.
