The Selexir Trial

1) Selexir Part 1: Over eighty of you registered your interest to trial the Peace Balm from Selexir and so many of your comments were really, really moving. I had no idea that so many people suffer so badly with eczema and extreme dry skin conditions – it has actually been a real eye-opener reading through your descriptions and stories. In the end it would have been impossible for me to choose three people based on the merits of their comments – it would be unfair to try and devise a set of criteria by which I try and pick the most suitable candidates or the most “deserving cases”. I’m pretty sure that all of you would write me a brilliant review and would absolutely appreciate the chance to trial a product that promises so much! So I’ve had to put the decision-making to the randomiser, which is actually how I pick the winners for my giveaways. Naively, I thought that I wouldn’t have to use it for a reader trial! Here we go with the names of the three people who’ll be testing out the Selexir creams: Kimberley Williams, Jasmine Yule and Daniele (daniele.alice@xx.co.uk) I might possibly have contacted you by the time that this goes live, but if I haven’t then please do get in touch with a comment or tweet or the like!

2) Selexir Part 2: One reader made a very astute suggestion in the comments on the original Selexir post – “Perhaps [they] could consider a lower price for a small sample so those who aren’t lucky enough to win can try it.” I went straight to the brand with this idea, and though they don’t produce teeny samples, they do have the travel size version which is £20 for 15ml. They have agreed to take 25% off the price of the travel size for a few days so that those who wish to sample it can do so at a lower price. This takes it down to £15 for 15ml with free delivery, so about the same price-per-ml as an Estée Lauder or Lancome cream. I do hope that this is a help for some of you – I know that most of us like to try something in a small amount before investing a lot of money. The code for this offer is MODEL and Selexir will keep it open until the end of Wednesday next week. Their website is here: Selexir.com

3) Selexir Part 3: those who have been picked for the trial products, please please please make sure that you feed back to me about your findings. And anyone else who tries it, please feel free to contact me too – or leave a comment, whatever you prefer. I’m always interested to hear people’s experiences with skincare – and that goes for any product, not just this one!
