Makeup artists, when questioned (and believe me, I question them until they want me dead!) seem to have mixed feelings about NARS multiples. If you don’t know what these are then let me explain; they’re multi-purpose sticks of makeup that are neutral enough to use on lips, eyes and face. There are bright shades, but we’re not talking lime green and peacock blue – it’s all about ease of use and creating a sophisticated and flattering look.
Some people don’t like the texture of the multiples – they’re quite slidy and slick – but I find them incredibly easy to blend and I think that if you pick your shade correctly, it can be a great addition to your makeup bag! NARS have recently launched the Laguna Multiple – a glowy bronze shade that gives a sexy shimmer to the skin. I use a little of it in the Bronzed Spring Look video that I published recently. If you take a look at the results, you’ll see that they’re far more subtle than the initial application might lead you to believe. It’s all blend blend blend, but the great thing is that you do this with fingertips – no brushes required!
I’m going to be doing a full video review of the NARS summer bits and pieces just as soon as I get back from my hols, so look out for that one if you’re thinking of revving up your summer makeup bag! Until then, have a little look and see what you think of the multiple – it’s available at Selfridges HERE.
