The hunt for the replacement Tinted Moisturiser continues; this one’s a bargain. Easy to apply, it looks rather yellow-toned at first, but it disappears straight into the skin leaving it nicely radiant. The illuminating side of the product isn’t overwhelming; I’d say it gives a ‘dewy’ effect rather than a full-on glow. It’s a very sheer coverage, nice and light for these summer months, and not oily in the slightest, which is rather a blessing when the days begin to get hot and sticky!
If I could offer a tip: I would definitely apply moisturiser underneath this one; do it half and hour or so beforehand if you can, to let it sink in. It’ll give a much more even look to the end result, and also provide you with the full benefits that only a good moisturiser can, such as an SPF, or protection against daily aggressors like pollution and cigarette smoke. Most tinted moisturisers don’t really cut it as skincare – and although this M&S offering has an SPF15, you’re unlikely to apply enough of it to benefit from any significant protection.
So there you have it: a perfectly nice tinted moisturiser. Nothing radical about it, nothing that screams out for attention, but it does the job. It’s made it into the hunt because it’s blindingly good value at £6.50. Take a look at the video to see how it looks once applied and listen to me babbling away – I’d just like to say that the excess shine on my skin is present throughout – it’s not as a result of the product tested, it’s just weird light!
