This London Fashion Week (15th-19th February) I am on quite an exciting mission. I’m working with Triumph International, official catwalk lingerie suppliers for LFW, to be their “eyes and ears” and report on what’s happening both backstage and on the catwalk. I’ll be taking over their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook feeds and racing around between shows interviewing people – it’s going to be hectic but a lot of fun.

I’m posting about LFW slightly in advance because I wanted to give Londoners, or those visiting London this weekend, a little bit of notice. It’s still quite short notice and for that I apologise, but I’ve only just finalised the details so please forgive me! On Sunday I’ll be holding a reader event at Maison Triumph, the amazing space that Triumph have created to celebrate their second season as Official Catwalk Lingerie Supplier of LFW. Within Maison Triumph there’s going to be a brilliant exhibition “1886 by Triumph” showcasing the craftsmanship and expertise that has gone into Triumph’s lingerie since – you guessed it – 1886. If the images in the information pack are anything to go by (I’ve put some into this post) then it’ll be a real treat for anyone interested in fashion and design. There are loads of other things going on at the same time, including a multi-media art installation by British artist David Longshaw and guest speakers such as Helena Christensen (Friday at 4pm) and Elle’s editorial team (Saturday afternoon).

On Sunday 17th, I’ll be at the Maison from 10am-1pm so please come and join me. There’ll be some brunch, some chatting and of course the opportunity to explore the various things going on around me! I don’t ever do meet-ups as logistically they are a nightmare, so I’m really pleased to be able to do this. It will be nice to put some faces to the twitter names and followers who leave such lovely comments and contribute to the posts here on A Model Recommends. The Maison is at 71 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden, London WC2 – it’s a beautiful area full of quirky coffee shops and boutiques so there’s lots to do once you’ve had enough of chatting!
