I bought a Maje tee in the Selfridges sale and it was such a good purchase. I’m not usually big on prints, but I make an exception for a touch of plaid or a bit of leopard! This T-shirt is 100% modal and drapes really nicely, but I mainly bought it because it looks a little bit rock ‘n roll with the old fringe thing I’ve got going on!
It really brightens up my usual uniform of jeans, boots, vest-top/sweater and makes it look as though I’ve thought about my outfit, which I haven’t. I rarely think about my outfit unless I’m going somewhere special – my usual criteria for picking clothes are: 1) can I walk in it 2) can I sit in it 3) will I get to the tube station in it without some pillock in a white van stopping to honk his horn and give his expert opinion on my breasts/bottom.
If you like this T-shirt then you’ll be pleased to know that I bought it with 50% off at Selfridges (£35 down from £71) and that if you run fast enough, there might even be a couple left. Maje is a really nice label – French, understated, chic. Have a look HERE if you want to know what they are all about – they stock Maje at Net-a-Porter too, and I have a sneaking suspicion that there’s a standalone boutique on Sloane Street.
