Jumble of Juicy Things!

by | May 9, 2012

Come on – tell me this picture doesn’t make you feel summery?

This is my jumble of juicy things. Fruity flavours and bright, candy colours. I thought that it would be a nice way of doing some mini reviews – just to let you know what’s out there or, in a couple of cases, about to be out there!

Here goes.

The huge bottle contains Philosophy Frosted Cookie bath and shower gel. I have to warn those on a diet that if they smell this bubble bath they will immediately want to run to their nearest Pick ‘n Mix counter. Philosophy do make the most mouthwatering fragrances don’t they? Completely synthetic ones, but still. Moreish. £14 from Selfridges.com

The lipstick to the left is Lancome’s Rouge in Love Shade 146B, a brilliant coral shade that’s immensely flattering. It will look AMAZING with a bit of a tan! £21 from Selfridges.com

Dior Vernis in 231, BIKINI. I will pop this on my nails soon for all to see! I don’t think it’s on the counter until next week, but it is a lovely summery pinky coral. (Can you tell I’m into coral yet?!)

The nail polish standing upright on top of the Dior is Lancome’s “Vernis in Love” Shade 112B (Rouge in Love). A funky little red that’s summer bright rather than anything to deep or classic. It’s £12 from Selfridges.com

YSL Volupte Sheer Candy, Shade 9 – a tinted lip balm that feels cooling on application, really watery and smooth. I adore these YSL balms and have been wearing this shade a lot. It’s a sweet candy pink but nothing too sickly as it’s so sheer. It just gives a cute little flush of pink. The packaging is immense – really heavy and OTT! £23.50 from HouseofFraser.co.uk

Givenchy Magic Balm – I have already posted a review of this little pot of wonders! You can read the review here.

Clinique Chubby Stick in 12, Oversized Orange. Everyone raves about the Chubby sticks. I do like them, but I resent being made to draw on my face with what looks like a crayon! There’s no ‘luxe’ factor for me, though I do think that the formulas are gorgeous. Really moisturising and a nice amount of tint – Oversized Orange is out next month and it will cost £16.

NARS Thakoon Polishes – a very arty collab between NARS and designer Thakoon, with inspiration for the shades coming from the spice markets of India. As I find myself saying a lot, recently, “these would look great with a bit of a tan”. I’m never sold on yellow, not for the nails, not unless it’s virtually neon, but this one is perhaps just bright enough to be OK! The polishes are £14 each from Selfridges.com

Body Shop Born Lippy Satsuma Shimmer Balm. Oh how I love this. You can find out why by reading the full review here.

M&S Limited Collection Lipstick in “Candy”. Marks have a new makeup range, the Limited Collection, and I think that “Candy” may be my favourite lipstick shade in the range. It’s really bright, but being the wallflower that I am (HA. HA. HA.) I decided to sheer it out a bit over my Givenchy magic balm. It looked great! £5 from MarksandSpencer.com
