You may have realised by now that I am something of a Loungewear Addict. I adore being comfy. Because I work from home for the majority of the time, I’m also allowed to be comfy. Just one of the many benefits of being freelance! I spend quite a lot of my time hunting for brilliant knitwear on the internet (another freelancer perk) but I must say that much of the time, sweaters and cardigans and scarves are just made to look plain frumpy! There’s no thought put into the styling – there’s no hint at how a big, cosy knit might fit into your life. That should really be the point of good clothes images – they should make you think… “ooh, I can see me throwing that on with my jeans for a long walk by the beach..”
The images in Hush‘s online and print catalogue do just that: I want absolutely everything I see. The pieces have been styled brilliantly and have actually inspired me to re-sort my whole wardrobe so that I can layer up my various tops and knits and scarves. I’m putting together an Autumn fashion video all about knitwear layering so keep an eye out for that! I’ll post it up on here when it’s live so you’ll be able to see some of the Hush pieces up close.*
Everything is beautifully made; even the sloppy, unstructured jumpers and cardigans have been thoughtfully designed. My favourite thing, though, is the huge chunky cardigan in the top picture – I almost want the weather to get colder so that I can wear it all the time. It’s an amazing colour and so soft – I can see myself napping in front of a roaring fire, open book falling from my hand, Mr Bear by my feet…
You can browse the Hush website here – but be warned. It’s addictive! I have three pairs of pyjamas and a star scarf on order already! If you were in any doubt about the cosiness of the pictures on the website, here’s a teaser – I NEED IT ALL:
*Thanks to Hush for sending through some of the knits for my Autumn Layering Video.
