Gift Splitting Ideas…

the art of gift splitting

I promised you some “gift splitting” ideas and so here they are. Just a few pointers to get you going – there are hundreds of multipacks and gift sets out there that lend themselves to this particular way of shopping. (“Gift splitting” is the art of divvying up bigger presents to make smaller presents. It’s a nice way of being able to give something lovely and not spend a huge amount of dosh – the outlay might be high but once you work out the “price per person” it is often very manageable. And you can create quite amazing packages made up of lots of gift splits, too – a soap, a fragrance, a lip balm – which can be more interesting than bunging a set of soaps at someone. Though the set of soaps will be nicely wrapped… Swings and roundabouts, swings and roundabouts…)

My favourite gift split this year has to be the Fragonard Eaux Naturelles set, pictured above. Each of these little bottles has a fresh, summery fragrance inside and I love the simple, chic labelling. It’s almost a shame to split the set up – if you want the whole thing, it’s £15, which I think is actually rather good! Find it here.

Benefit’s Crescent Row set contains four very sweet fragrance miniatures and the perk with this one is that each is individually boxed. Often you end up paying more, price-per-ml with these gift sets, but not in this case – you save around 25%.

The set costs £29.50 with free delivery from FeelUnique.com

l'occitane gift

Lovely Shea soaps from l’Occitane, as featured in the Perfect Pretty Gift guide: £16 for four. Nice and rustic-looking, I think! Find them at l’Occitane here.

luxury hand creams

A medley of hand creams in nice little tubes – the Caudalie work out to be £4 each (set of 3 for £12 is here), the Roger & Gallet cost £17.50 for three (here) and the award-winning l’Occitane Creme Mains cost £22 for three here. All of the tubes are 30ml in size…

Lastly, these Roger & Gallet soaps look pretty old school, but they are so fragrant! They are overpowering my entire hallway at the moment, so much so that I may have to stick them into my underwear drawer to keep them contained! There are loads of different types on FeelUnique but my favourites (not shown) are the Fig ones. They cost £6 each or £13.50 for a set of three (kind of a “buy two get one free” situation, I suppose.) Find the fig ones here.
