I am busy drafting out improvements that can be made to A Model Recommends and, as always, would appreciate your input. I know that some people hate the idea of any kind of change, but I need to make sure that the website is up-to-date in terms of appearance and functionality and also tweak up the security a little so that there are no scary hacking attempts. (Or successes: in the Spring of 2012 a hacker managed to take out the whole site for weeks and it cost thousands of pounds to get it running again!)

As I’m making these behind-the-scenes changes anyway, I’d like to know if there’s anything that you would like to see added. Anything you’d like to see more of. Are there any changes that could be made to the home page that would make it easier for you to use the site? Do you read on tablet or smartphone and wish that the format there was different? Let me know – all feedback is hungrily accepted and processed. And on a non-technical level, please tell me if you’d like to see more of a particular type of post – more on makeup, for example, or more health-related topics. Do you prefer posts with lots of pictures and very little writing, or do you come here for the words rather than the images? Do you watch the videos on video posts or have you already seen them, usually, by the time that they are published on here?

Thanks to your feedback, I was kicked out of my “using blurry Instagram photos to show makeup effects” habit and the quality of the images is, I hope, infinitely better because of it. Also due to your kind words on Sunday, I am confident that mixing informal, diary-style posts and the more considered, lengthier features is acceptable to you – which saves me hours of working out how to re-jig the categories! So please, any thoughts that you have – whether you want singing cats on the homepage or you’d like all of the writing to be in lurid pink crazy font – jot them down below.
