I have recently rediscovered these little beauties. They should be called ‘Capsules of Wonder’. I used to use them when I had a hangover (rare, these days, because I’m far too busy to drink the drink needed to get a hangover in the first place) and they were simply miraculous.

The AGE Smart range is probably not aimed at my skin type at all – I have very few fine lines and it’s not dry or slack – yet I find the products immensely effective. The capsules of Multivitamin Power Concentrate seem to deliver a super-sonic shot of hydration and suppleness to the skin which instantly make it look younger, less tired and less dull. I don’t think that there’s anything wrong whatsoever with using the AGE Smart products at a younger age (I started using the mask, another hero product, in my early twenties!) because they’re not rich or oily. There’s nothing to clog pores or weigh down the skin. Textures are light and fizzy. If fizzy’s the right word!

I use one capsule of power concentrate over my face and neck only when I need it! This isn’t part of my standard routine – it’s an extra (very useful) set of helping hands for when my skin needs a perk-up. Of course if you have more mature skin and want to improve elasticity and suppleness and generally get it a bit perky again, you can use the capsules on a regular basis, even daily. Use them in place of a serum on clean, dry skin and follow them up with a moisturiser.

A definite bonus with this product is that I can take single capsules away with me – pop them into my travel bag, makeup bag or whatever I have with me. When you work out the price per ml it’s quite expensive – you’d normally get 30ml or 50ml of a serum or face cream, and this has 15ml, but I think it’s worth it for the results.
