Decleor Life Radiance Scrub

decleor life radiance scrubThis post comes to you via a veritable wonder-woman, Lauren; model, landlady of an uber-pub, ex-PR of an extremely famous rock-star, general glamourpuss and NEW MUM! She has been trying out Decleor’s Life Radiance Scrub which contains Jojoba Beads, Cardamom Seeds and Egyptian Luffa Fibres. What in the name of God are Egyptian Luffa Fibres? I have no idea, but it seems that Lauren loved them! Here’s her verdict:

“I’ve never been a fan of face scrubs and my skin has suffered from the pregnancy so most things encourage blotchiness more than beauty at the moment. Needless to say I was a bit dubious about how much radiance this ‘Life Radiance’ would offer but in actual fact the answer is loads.
It’s a clever smell of citrus and oatiness. One balances the other out so it is neither acidic nor too wholesome and porridgy.
Applying to dry skin, it feels more like a mini massage than scratching your face off (which i’ve found to be the general effect of face scrubs). Likewise it doesn’t make your eyes feel like they’re bleeding should you manage to splash them by mistake.
Complete convert. I love it. (Just wish the bright yellow packaging looked a bit less attention-seeking in my tastefully white/grey bathroom!)”

Very good point about the usual ‘scratchy’ feeling of scrubs – that’s the main reason that I tend to avoid them, on the whole. I do think that the Jojoba Bead versions seem to be much gentler – in general, I’d recommend steering clear of anything that contains crushed up this-and-that because the particles can have quite irregular, sharp edges. Just as a rule of thumb. You want to slough off dead skin cells, not sandblast the features from your face.

Decleor’s Life Radiance Scrub, RRP £27.50 but it is £26.15 with free worldwide delivery from FeelUnique here: http://tidd.ly/afdc91bdm
