christmas gift guide 2017

Oh, I’ve been having a right old chortle to myself over some of the stuff I’ve bought recently. Mouse-statue reading lamps and polar bear side tables and silly little notebooks with owls on them. It’s as though the part of my brain responsible for buying things has been hijacked by the spirit of a Victorian trinkets dealer**. One with an enthusiasm for wildlife. But it’s all good fun – I’m now the proud owner of a serving dish that looks as though it’s been pinched from the set of Beauty and the Beast, and a bottle opener that could be the door-key to the world’s most wonderful hotel suite.

Want to know more? It’s all in the video – if you’re looking for a few off-beat Christmas present ideas then this might give you somewhere to start. I’ve listed the featured products beneath the video pane for quick reference.

**I have no idea what a Victorian trinkets dealer is either. Totally made it up. I thought that a Curiosity Shop was a real thing, too, then remembered it was from a Dickens novel.
