Clarins’ Skin Smoothing Eye Mask has only just been added to my emergency beauty kit but it’s already a firm favourite. It’s very hydrating and soothing and it actually absorbs enough so that it doesn’t have to be rinsed or tissued off. If you like a regular face mask but don’t like to take it all the way up to the eye area (peels, acid-heavy masks and so on) then this is a lovely one to pop on so that the undereyes and lids don’t feel left out! It’s also great as an overnight eye mask or as an in-flight treatment. If you’ve tried Sisley’s Eye Mask but find it a little too slippery then this is a very nice alternative indeed. Less cooling and tightening, but a hell of a lot more affordable!
This mask would suit most skin types, I think, and I can’t imagine any eye “complaint” that wouldn’t benefit from its toning and smoothing effects. Tired computer eyes, dry in-flight eyes, parched hangover eyes, stuffed-to-the-gills-with-turkey Christmas eyes…take your pick.
Clarins Masque Contour des Yeux is £24.40 at Escentual.com, but they seem to be out of stock. It’s also available for the full price of £30.50 from Clarins.co.uk and counters nationwide.
