Current Natural ‘Casting’ Makeup

by | Feb 21, 2012

There were lots of requests for information on the makeup I was wearing in the ‘Dozen Red Roses‘ video, so I recreated the look. It’s a very (very) simple daytime ensemble with glowing skin, neutral eyes and a slick of extremely expensive lip-balm. Perfect for castings as it looks natural but still polished and it’s quick and easy to apply.

I have been wearing the Burberry shadow in ‘Midnight Brown’ almost every day for the last couple of weeks; it has just the right amount of shimmer to make the eyes look awake and bright but it doesn’t appear at all glittery. The foundation used is a new one from Estee Lauder, it’s a very light fluid called ‘Invisible Fluid Makeup’ and it gives good coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. This is a strange one, because it looks very illuminating yet the finish isn’t at all dewy – the fluid adapts to the skin to blend in seamlessly whilst reflecting light in every direction. It creates a subtle glow but maintains quite a matte finish which is brilliant for glow-seekers who have combination or oilier skin. It’s well worth having a play about with this on counter if you’re looking for a lightweight foundation – I have shade 2WN1, for those who want to gamble with an online purchase!

My shirt is an old one from Abercrombie & Fitch – they have loads of plaid like this!
