I made bonfire eyes yesterday; the video below shows how I did it! For those who couldn’t think of anything worse than sitting through a video with someone applying makeup, there are some little close-ups below! Star of the show, I think, has to be Stila’s Collectible palette with its great pinky copper shadow. The link for that palette – and everything else mentioned in the video – is below the video pane. I do hope that you all had a good night and ‘played safely’ with your sparklers! (Do you remember those ads that used to be on TV about sparkler danger? They put me off touching sparklers for life so I tend to stay well clear!)
By the way, this eye look is supposed to be something for all of Autumn, not just firework night! It may not work with some colourings, but it’s fun for a bit of a change. I’m getting very into my reddish tones – they make blue eyes very blue! It can feel a bit weird using colour further up than the crease of the eyelid, but as you can see from the ‘eyes open’ photo, it just gives a nice wash of colour.
