Injecting some much-needed sunshine into this rainy week we have Roger & Gallet’s Creme Sublime Or perfumed body cream and Huile Sublime Bois d’Orange nourishing oil. Just look at those beautiful honeyed colours! I took this photo in front of a wicker hamper to make it feel all harvest festival-y, do hope that you appreciate the effort. Now that I’m not using Instagram filters I have to find imaginative ways of amusing myself.

The Bois d’Orange products from Roger & Gallet are just gorgeous – very cheery, very ‘late summer evening in Provence drinking wine and wearing floaty kaftans’. When you put on this woody, orangey scent, you expect hoards hordes of bees to come flocking. (Do bees flock? Do they travel in hoards hordes?) The dry oil is multipurpose – you can use it to add sheen to the skin, to shine up your hair or to simply add a fine veil of heady fragrance. (Actually, if it’s just scent you want then you might be better with the Fragrant Water which is light and fresh and adds a pretty confetti of fine gold sparkles.) The Creme Sublime Or is my favourite product – just as fragrant as the others in the range and with the subtlest of shimmers, the body cream feels rich and nourishing but isn’t greasy. It’s a great quick-fix skin finisher for arms, shoulders and legs if you’re going somewhere special and it’s more convenient than an oil. You could, of course, layer up all three…
