Bestival Beauty (and Boobs)

A few little festival beauty bits to share with you – I don’t know whether you can tell that I was attempting to go to the Bestival fancy dress as Dolly Parton, but I was. Im well aware that I didn’t quite get there and that I look more like Porno-Cowgirl, but such is the way when you leave yourself all of twenty minutes to create a fancy-dress outfit! In all honesty, if you removed the wig and the inflatable boobs (best fiver I have ever spent!) then it’s pretty much my normal self. But let’s take a closer look at my face, shall we? (Apologies to Dolly, at this point, and yes, I know that my lips have smudged!)

Eyes: Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Bourbon, £13 here: http://tidd.ly/6864a7e4 Illamasqua Pigment, £15.50 from Selfridges here: http://tidd.ly/9794cde0

Face: Illamasqua Shimmer Blush in Ambition, £16.50 from Selfridges here: http://tidd.ly/4f2e7e5d, Eye Rock ‘Designer Eye Fashion’ (applied in the wrong place, obviously!) £22 from Eye Rock

Body: Urban Decay Tattoo from set, £30 from BeautyBay here: http://tidd.ly/f20aa9d7

The Urban Decay 24/7 makeup stays on for absolutely ages! Well over twenty-four hours if it needs to – and that’s even without a primer or a setting spray, both of which Urban Decay make brilliant versions of. The Eye Rock definitely added a little sparkle and glamour and the Illamasqua products were theatrical to say the least! They’re definitely not for the faint hearted – the pigment alone gives an intense, deep colour that has instant impact, but layered with other shadows, it’s like some kind of powdered precious metal! I’ll be experimenting more with the Illamasqua products in the future – I’m predicting a full-on look with huge lashes and slicked-back hair?

That’s enough ‘reliving’ of Bestival. Back to work. Oh – in case you were wondering, the blow-up boobs were from the fancy dress shop. They looked rubbish in the box, but they are brilliant once inflated. The wig was twelve pounds and had quite an impressive amount of volume. Hours of fun! Ahem..
