Yes, I know that this photo is completely irrelevant – I’m writing a post about Bepanthen, which is nappy rash cream, yet I have displayed a picture of quite possibly the biggest rabbit in the world. (He is real, by the way, and very heavy).
However, I do have Bepanthen on underneath my lipstick!
When the make-up artist whipped it from her kit I was dubious, but it worked a treat on my frostbitten lips – (Munich+Winter+ForgottenMyLipbalm=Beauty Disaster).
It doesn’t feel like any other lip ‘moisturising’ product I have used because it was creamy in texture and didn’t leave even a hint of shine. It worked really, really well under lip colour, and after the shoot, when the make-up artist applied it again, my lips felt amazing all the way home – even after a delayed flight and the beauty nightmare that is an Easyjet cabin.
I admit that it’s not the most glamorous of things to be carting around in your handbag, but it won’t look too conspicuous in the bathroom cabinet – last thing at night, when you’ve brushed your teeth, whack some of this on and allow it to heal your lips overnight.
It costs around £3 and is widely available.
