I have to admit that I am rather a “concealaholic” – I get terrible dark circles, and I have quite dark eyelids, so I like that ‘fresh-faced’ effect that a good old concealing session can have! I also think that – when done properly – good concealing can remove the need for a base. Some people use a heavy base all over rather than targeting the few (often very small) areas that require work, and the result can be really ageing.
So Benefit’s concealing and brightening kit has all of the relevant products in one handy kit – if you watch the video, you can see how each stage works and how it looks. I think that the difference, especially on the eyelids, is quite dramatic. Above all, the kit is actually extremely good value for money; the equivalent value of the included products – after ‘scaling down’ the full retail prices – would be well over £50.
You’re probably not going to lug the whole kit about in your handbag, but it looks pretty on the dressing table, and makes a very welcome addition to my makeup routine – as you’ll see in the video, just a few extra minutes work with this kit created a lovely even skintone. Perfect for using before I go on model castings, when I need my skin to look flawless but makeup free!
