Another week another set of beauty reviews. The Chanel Foundation was reviewed in slightly more depth yesterday, which leave the Amazing Cosmetics concealer and the Miss Manga mascara from L’Oreal. Amazing Cosmetics is a brave old name, isn’t it? A bit like This Works – though fortunately, all of their products do actually work very well. I have no idea whether all of Amazing Cosmetics‘ products are amazing, but I’ll tell you that the concealer is pretty good. Very nice coverage – quite a thick cream, but blends out easily and doesn’t cake or sit heavily in fine lines. Make sure you watch the video to see it in action – you need the tiniest, tiniest bit, so a small tube of this would last an age.
The Miss Manga mascara is also good – not my absolute favourite, but a nice flexible wand (!) and a good wet consistency that makes it quick to coat your lashes and get out of the door. You have to be careful of getting it all over your eyelids (you’ll see that there’s a little bit of wobbly slippage at the lashline, on the video, as I hadn’t cleaned up yet) but if you like quite liquidy mascaras that don’t clag up or feel dry to apply, give this a go. It’s cheapish and cheerful, if that’s what you’re after. (If you’re looking to be spendy then try this one from Guerlain and especially the Moka version, which is limited edition. You can find that one on Escentual.com here, I truly adore it.)
The concealer is supposed to already be out at M&S, but keep a watch for it here – the mascara is available at FeelUnique.com.
