What a brilliant gift to give a bride on her hen night, don’t you think? I may have to get one for Crilly Style, who is getting married in August. Hopefully she won’t read this, and then it won’t totally ruin the surprise, but if she is reading: isn’t this a brilliant gift, Kate? You’re getting one!

The Urban Decay Bride Kit contains a full-sized  eyeshadow primer potion, worth approximately £14.50, and then a selection of travel-sized bestsellers. There’s a lipgloss, a mascara, a ‘lickable’ shimmer powder, a makeup setting spray and a high-definition loose face powder. The Lip Junkie gloss is properly plumping, and the ‘Midnight Cowboy’ shade is one of my favourites, a sexy, shiny nude. The ‘All-Nighter’ setting spray fixes makeup for about sixteen hours (I’ve tested it up to twelve and then passed out), the Razor Sharp Ultra-Definition powder is really finely milled to give a great soft-focus effect and the mascara is very good indeed. The less said about ‘lickable’ marshmallow body powder the better, but I suppose it’s ‘fun’. I’ve eaten a bit and it does taste quite like marshmallows, so I suppose if you got hungry whilst waiting for your wedding day to start, you could just spoon that into your gob. Imagine turning up in church with shimmery powder all round your mouth! Ha.

I think this is a great little selection box – it feels really substantial for £25 and it has a bit of a ‘cool’ edge that many wedding-y bridal gifts fail to offer.
