I am on the expert panel in this year’s LookFantastic awards, so am currently trying to work my way through the categories and decide which products I think are outstanding. That might sound like an enviable job, but in actual fact it’s much more difficult than you might think! Trying to judge between five nail polishes of almost identical shade is both time-consuming and nigh-on-impossible, but I am having a whale of a time. Not only am I rediscovering many products that are past loves, I’m testing out some really very excellent ‘new kids on the block’ that are definitely going to be added to my must-have list!

Once all the voting has been and gone and the winners have been announced (24th May, I think) I’ll get going with some individual reviews of the products I think are amazing – and perhaps some lighthearted ‘comparison’ posts? Anyway, you too can vote in the awards – there’s a hamper of beauty products to be won worth over £800! Personally, I’m just a sucker for online questionnaires – anything to waste a few precious minutes of time when you’re already behind schedule! Votes must be in by 20th May 2011.
