Er…can someone please explain to me why I have only just discovered this lip gloss? It’s an outrage! There I was, thinking that I was Chanel Beauté’s biggest stalker, when all of a sudden I found out that there was an unbearably chic and luxurious gloss that I had never tried before!
You know that I’m not a die-hard lipgloss fan – I’ll wear a gloss, but half the time I’d rather not thank-you-very-much-indeed. Some reasons: I get my hair stuck in it all the time; if it’s too shiny I feel like I’m about to star in some kind of ‘for adults only’ movie; most of them taste like one of those budget microwaveable syrup puddings and/or humbugs.
Not so with Chanel’s Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss! This one is shiny but not too sticky, glossy without being sparkly or shimmery and it doesn’t taste like anything from the Pick ‘n Mix counter. Add to this the fact that it has the most genius applicator that applies like a sponge yet flexes and sweeps like a brush, and you have the perfect gloss! Did I mention that the packaging was unbearably chic? i think I did, but just in case you didn’t catch it the first time round: it’s unbearably chic. Very heavy and sleek, it feels more like a miniature purse-spray than a gloss.
My favourite shade is Insouciance and you will see it in a video very soon, but there are some wonderful shades in the range, all long-lasting and vibrant. Have a look at them HERE!
