Could Estée Lauder please stop making covetable, summery things? And while we’re talking summery things, could this Adventure Color Palette actually be any more summery? On-trend coral, an expensive-feeling gold trim and beautiful bright shades for eyes and lips inside.
This palette is a Travel Exclusive, which means that you can only pick one up if you happen to be whizzing through an airport sometime soon. Why oh why isn’t it available in the main line? It’s utterly gorgeous! I’m even in love with the little double-ended brushes that sit snugly inside! I can’t think of a better way of starting off a holiday somewhere hot than picking up one of these with your posh suntan lotion and pile of sunlounger paperbacks. It actually looks a lot more expensive than it is – I was surprised to find that it was £25! Sleek ‘n Chic and very St Tropez!
There’s also a perfume which – according to the lady at the counter – is absolutely flying off the shelves. I do like the look of the bottle, very unusual; the lid is coral and gold just like the palette, and the scent is sophisticated but fresh. What with Bronze Goddess and Adventurous, I think that Estée Lauder have got their summer bits and pieces just right this year!
