Philip Kingsley Pure Silver Shampoo and Conditioner

philip kingsley pure silver shampoo and conditionerMy hair has been looking a little ‘brassy’ recently, as it has a tendency to do every now and then. When my colour was done for the KMS campaign in New York before Christmas they used very warm tones, and warm tones can turn a bit yellow. My colour needs doing again, basically, but I haven’t had time to pop to Kennaland and see the wonderful Sophia!

I thought that I’d give Philip Kingsley’s Pure Silver range a try – Sophia did mention on my last visit that I could probably do with using a silver shampoo if my hair started to look a bit ‘warm’, but I hadn’t remembered that until now! I didn’t actually think that a silver shampoo and conditioner could make all that much of a difference.

I was quite wrong! The Pure Silver shampoo and conditioner really took the edge off the brassiness and toned down the ‘warmth’ in my hair. There was a proper, noticeable difference. I looked more blonde and my hair seemed to be a little more shiny! Hurrah! The shampoo was gentle on my scalp and didn’t make it feel itchy or tight, and the conditioner was a nice consistency and made detangling easy.

Overall an excellent result. You can also use this if you have grey hair. Sorry if that’s stating the obvious, but I like to point these things out. Grey hair can tend to be quite dull, and the violet tones in the shampoo help to bring it back to life and add depth and shine.

Pure Silver Shampoo is £14.30 and the Conditioner is £17.40 (250ml) both from Philip Kingsley.
