I have been asked to post a “Face of the Day” – or “FOTD” as they appear to be called in the world of online beauty enthusiasts! So here it is – my “Face of the Day”. I tend to have the same face everyday, so I’m not quite sure how regularly I’ll be able to post one of these. Equally, if you hate the very idea of this feature (which wouldn’t happen much more than once a fortnight) then please do voice your concerns.

Makeup used to achieve this look (and please excuse whatever is hanging out the corner of my right eye!) as follows: skin prepped with Lisa Hoffman Day Cream SPF15. Base is Estee Lauder Double Wear Light ‘Stay-in-Place’ makeup, shade ‘Intensity 2.0’, and concealer is Double Wear Stay in Place in shade 01, ‘Light’. Cheeks contoured with Estee Lauder Silky Powder Blush in shade 19, ‘Nude Nuance’. (Amazing – my new favourite thing.) Mascara is MAC Dazzle Lash in Black, eyeliner is MAC Eye Kohl in ‘Smolder’ and lipstick is MAC Glaze in ‘Hue’.

Looking at these photos, it seems that I’m not really wearing any makeup, but I am. This is the art of ‘casting’ makeup – looking as though you have nothing on, just perfect skin and lips, big eyes and long lashes! God forbid if they ever saw me totally bare-faced, I’d never work again!
