Best New Beauty Launches: Spring 2019

best beauty launches spring 2019

It’s been a while since I did that thing where I launch a series of videos with the intention of creating regular, seasonal content but then inevitably fail to keep going after a few episodes: so here’s a new one. The best of the beauty launches. I’m actually very excited about this one, so much so that I can’t even remember any of the other series that I promised regular content on (was it skincare routines and “what’s in my makeup bag”?).

Anyway, brilliant new launches this season include a moisturising foundation for dry skin (truly moisturising and comes in twenty-eight shades), a holiday perfume that’s a fresher alternative to Bronze Goddess, an excellent, high-performing vitamin C serum that won’t break the bank and a workable version of Weleda’s bestselling Skin Food moisturiser.

  1. Thanks for the vid Ruth. You’ve mentioned Kate Somerville Retinol + vita C, and medik8 r-retinoate in some of your recent launches reviews. in your opinion, which one is better? Especially in terms of irritation. They’re both meant to be pretty strong. I’ve used Paula’s 1% and seem to tolerate it well, and I’m looking to up the strength/switch up a bit. Thanks a bunch.

    • I’d say that the PC one feels stronger than both the others, tbh! But maybe my skin/perceptions of strength are weird! : )
What about the Neostrata? Caroline Hirons has been doing a really in-depth series on retinol, listing strengths and so on, is well worth a look! xx

  2. I thought I’d hate it due to my dislike for lime, but damn if that Atelier Pacific Lime isn’t brilliant.
