This should have gone in my Stocking Fillers video, but it slipped through the net! Do you know why? Because it was in my pocket! I have been taking this everywhere as a multi-purpose balm, and when I was walking around New York in the bitter cold, I was actually using it as a bit of a skin moisturiser! So. Whoops.
This smells gorgeous – it’s the special edition Rose version. I have found out, however, that the standard, normal Love Balm is tangerine! I love tangerine! So I’m torn as to which one to recommend. I suppose it depends on personal preference, but regardless of scent, the formula is lovely – free of nasties, packed full of lovely botanical ingredients, non-sticky and long-lasting. It’s just the right consistency – not too gloopy or soft, and the scent of roses isn’t too overpowering.
I have been using this balm on my cuticles as well as on my lips, and I have to admit to the fact that I also scooped out a huge blob to rub into my heels when I had forgotten my foot cream! If you do use the balm on larger areas of skin, warm it up in the palms of your hands first so that it spreads more easily. It’s a little too expensive to be using as a skin cream, but great for emergency situations!
Jurlique’s Love Balm is £10 from SpaceNK, LookFantastic and online retailers. (Etailers? Whatever.)
