I was offered an Orly manicure yesterday and I jumped at the chance to get a bit of pampering. Straight in from gale-force winds, wearing a huge ski-jacket and stomping boots, I chose the brightest most fluoro colour on offer; Orange Punch. Rather inappropriate for this time of year, I know, but I couldn’t resist. My nails are now day-glo and cheering me up every time I look at them!
They don’t look very orange in my photograph, which makes it a bit redundant, I suppose. You could always just stare at my neatly manicured nails. They have been built to last, with a rubberised basecoat called “Bonder” and a rock-hard topcoat. I really like Orly polishes; they are free from nasty chemicals and they have amazing rubbery handles that are easy to grip. I can paint my right hand quite quickly with Orly polishes, whereas with certain others (not mentioning any names square-lidded brands!) it takes me about a week.
Orly polishes retail for about £8.75 each.
