Ah, the time of temptation begins once more. If you’re due a skincare stock-up* then take note: Cult Beauty, curators of all that is effective and desirable in the beauty world, have a little Gift-with-Purchase for A Model Recommends readers. It’s a deluxe sampler set that includes loads of gorgeous skincare products, including the brilliant “Good Genes” treatment from Sunday Riley(the full size is here – £85 for 30ml, so the little sachet is worth about a fiver, unbelievably!) and a dinky bottle of the “Oxygen Plasma Potion” from Ling New York. I have it on good faith that this Ling potion is amazing for slightly older skin that’s battling breakouts – not a teen spot remedy, but a posh adults-only kind of version. The full size is here, £85 for 1oz (which I think is about 28g) – the sample is 2ml, so again, worth around a fiver. Six, maybe.

There are also deluxe samples of Peter Thomas Roth “Mega-Rich Body Lotion” and “mega-Rich Body Wash”, a very nice 30ml each, but I think that it’s the opportunity to try out high-end skincare launches and hero products that’s most appealing. There’s a 5ml tube of Alpha-H’s “Balancing Moisturiser and Gentle Exfoliant” included, which is quite a powerful little AHA exfoliant, despite its name, and there’s a 5ml sachet of  Argentum’s La Potion Infinie, which I have been keen to try for quite some time. (The sachet is worth nearly £15 as the full-size is so pricey – I’d decant the sachet into a little travel pot, or at least make sure you clip the open sachet closed firmly so that the air doesn’t get in.) Nuxe’s Creme Fraiche de Beauté, which I have tried and like a lot, but then two more creams that I have heard about through the grapevine but haven’t gotten around to testing: the “Night Cream” from Verso and the “Smoothing Cream Collagen” from Collin in Paris.

Overall, very enticing. The sampler set is free with orders over £40 and you need to use the code CULTGIFT in the box that says “Free Gift Code”. There are 100 sets available, so hopefully plenty to go around! UPDATE: If you are having problems with this code, please make sure you’re entering it into the FREE GIFT CODE box and not the PROMO CODE box. There are two! If you still can’t get it to work, then if you email customer services they will manually add the gift for you.

*My stock-up items of choice would be Alpha-H’s Rejuvenating Cream (see review here),  Sunday Riley’s Ceramic Slip Cleanser (gets skin really clean and bright without making it uncomfortably tight), Tammy Fender’s Epi-Peel (for amazing exfoliation – a scrub that I actually get on with!) and my constant saviour, the Deep Relax bath oil from Aromatherapy Associates. There are hundreds of things I’d like, obviously, but one has to rein oneself in. (Especially if there’s an Outnet package arriving that has to be hidden in the spare room, the contents gradually introduced into daily life. Because then it doesn’t count as a purchase, does it? It’s only if you wear it and it’s new. That’s what my Mum says, anyway…)
