It’s REALLY hard to take a good picture of your own hand! I’d just like to point that out before you judge my photograph. I persevered only because I didn’t want to lump you with a useless picture of a nail polish bottle and no indication as to how the colour looked in real life! So here we are: hand complete with Deborah Lippmann polish. This is just one coat; you need two or three, probably, if you want a more opaque finish. It looks ever so slightly streaky here, but this is very close-up and my camera is very sensitive. As well as the nail polish imperfections I look as though I have the hands of an eighty year old when, in fact, my hands in real life are in quite good nick. I lotion them and everything.

Overall I think that this is a pretty little nude shade – it’s called, appropriately, Naked. Quite a pale, milky nude, but I think that it makes my nails look very neat and clean. Your thoughts? I use nude polishes 99% of the time so am always hunting for good ones – please do make suggestions below in the comments box. My all-time favourite, it has to be said, is Jolie Matins from Lancome.
