Sunday Tittle Tattle

Sunday Tittle Tattle (noun?): everything from the week that I have forgotten to post about, in easy brunch-sized chunks…

1) After going on about how good I’m going to be with my spending “issues”, the above happened. Ooops. I couldn’t resist – they appealed to the magpie within. And obviously a pair of glittery ballet pumps are an essential wardrobe item. Surely. No? At any rate they now belong to me so beware any who pass me in the street – shield your eyes, because I’m going to be like a walking disco ball!

snakeskin hush dress

2) I wore this Hush dress for almost the entire time I was in Palm Springs! It was brilliant. Really lightweight cotton, and the elasticated bust part meant that it gave support so that I didn’t really have to wear a bra. Nice not to have to when it’s very hot – it’s just an extra, cumbersome layer! Obviously if you’re particularly well-stacked you might need something more in the over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder department, but my 32DDs did OK. I think that Hush also do this dress in a different print – the page for the snakeskin one is here.

I tried to do some little “outfit of the day” pictures whilst in LA and this was one attempt, a day/night version of the same dress. All I’ve done is put a sweater over the top, but, y’know, it ain’t supposed to be rocket science. The sweater is the metallic knit from Hush (I basically wore shoot samples for the whole week!) and the bag is the Anya Hindmarch one that I got from The Outnet earlier in the year. The sunglasses are from Polaroid – you may remember them from videos last summer, they are from the “Heritage” collection but that section seems to have disappeared from the website so I can’t tell you the style name!

free cult beauty samples

3) Cult Beauty have a new Goody Bag out – even better than the last one, I think. I’ve listed the contents below – it’s worth £55 and is free with orders of £50 and over*. Cult Beauty are the Queens of Sampling – you get brilliant little sachets and mini this-and-thats with every order but their Goody Bags are in a different league. For “miniature” enthusiasts such as myself (I don’t mean that I’m miniature, obviously) they are pretty exciting. Here’s what’s inside:

NCLA Limited Edition Nail Wraps Peter Som Collection
Tammy Fender Bulgarian Lavender Oil 5ml
Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax  3ml
Ginvera Marvel Green Gel 10ml
Elemis Pro Collagen Body Cream 50ml
Anastasia Covet Noir Pencil
Alpha H 5ml Liquid Gold
Dr Lipp Original Balm 3ml
Astalift Make Up Remover Oil 30ml

Of particular excitement, I think, are the Liquid Gold (great for those who are worried about sensitivity and don’t want to buy the “whole hog”) and the Astalift Oil. I keep meaning to review the oil as it’s a nice one, but I’ll pop it onto the to-do list. Along with the 23,765,837 other things that need doing… I’m just going to stare at my glitter ballet pumps for a while whilst I decide where to start…
