I’m really proud to announce that last night I won a prize at the Johnson & Johnson Journalism Awards 2013. I won in the “Best Independent Beauty Video Blogger” category for one of my skincare videos. (I honestly can’t remember which one I submitted, now, but you can find all of my videos (beauty, style, random) by clicking here.) Many thanks to the judges for their kind words – I’m immensely flattered!

I think that the J&J Awards are a brilliant competition to enter, if you’re thinking of doing so – they are judged on the merits of the writing/media submitted only, it’s not any kind of traffic-driving exercise whatsoever. Which is incredibly refreshing. I’ll give you some warning this year when the competition opens to give you plenty of time to enter if you’re a blogger, writer, vlogger. It’s really well worth it – winners get £500 and a funky blockbuster-style trophy as well as a very warm feeling inside and a nice sense of achievement!
