Many of you have expressed great wonder at my hair experiment (in which I don’t wash my hair for five days, and it just gets better and better – see previous post), saying that their hair would get far too greasy to bear. Well, I’d like to reiterate that I used COPIOUS amounts of Batiste to stop the greasiness taking over!

Batiste, as I have said a few times before, is the Model’s Life Saver. You can spray it into your roots just before an important casting, with your head tuned upside down, and moments later it looks as though you’ve had a blow-dry! It’s a wash-in-a-can that can be done at a moment’s notice, even in the most inconvenient of places.

The original Batiste leaves a very fine powdery residue in the hair – fine for blondes, but can make dark hair look a little ‘grey’ at the roots. Hurrah, then, for Batiste’s Coloured Dry Shampoo, a relatively new range that provides lazy shampoo-in-a-can for brunette and black-haired ladies! Obviously I can’t try it out for you, but I’ve seen it used on shoots and it’s pretty nifty – does everything that it should do (gets rid of grease and adds a little ‘magic lift’ to the roots) but doesn’t have the ‘greying effect’.
