We all love to unwrap something posh that we might not usually treat ourselves to. Don’t we? I thought so. It might not be that the item ever makes it into our daily beauty routine, but that just heightens the sense of luxury! If the item contains shimmer and sparkles then even better – it’s brilliant, I think, to have a little bit of fun with makeup over Christmas. Yves Saint Laurent  The White ‘Le Smoking’ Tuxedo Palette – frosty highlights for wintery faces! The three shades of white can be applied to specific areas or with a large brush for all-over illumination. Because the tones are cool, I have been using this for evening makeup but there’s no reason why it can’t be an all-day every-day kind of product! £39 from Debenhams
