Just Married! JolieBox & Boudoir Privé

by | Dec 5, 2011

Jolie Box & Boudoir PrivéI’m having to backpedal swiftly away from my post two weeks ago in which I declared that I would not be talking about subscription boxes again, (you can read that ‘final word’ post here), because here I am, about to talk about subscription boxes again! Forgivable though, as this is really quite exciting news: Boudoir Privé have joined forces with brilliant French subscription service JolieBox!

I have been more than a little intrigued by JolieBox because it’s French and (as you should know by now) I am a big champion of French beauty brands. Bioderma, Lierac, Caudalie, La Roche Posay, Carita, NUXE – I could go on and on. Many of the brands are easily available here, but there are still hundreds yet to reach UK turf. One of my favourite things to do when I pop over to Paris is to root about in the Pharmacies – I’m always on the scout out for interesting beauty bits and pieces, and it would be amazing to get some delivered to my door each month!

Which is why, I think, I am genuinely excited that Boudoir Privé and JolieBox have married. Their parents must be very proud! But never mind the parents – I want to see what kind of previously unheard of goodies start emerging from the smart black box. With my distinctly un-fluent French, I can’t translate the entire JolieBox website, but even I can spot brand names like By Terry, Payot, Carita and Talika. I almost had heart-failure when I spotted Filorga and Bioderma – so difficult to obtain in the UK and both brands are brilliant.

In a way, I think that this is exactly what the subscription box idea needed – an injection of little-known brands or products that are harder to find. Personally, if I could be guaranteed a little Bioderma Crealine H20 in every box I’d be a very happy woman! Chuck in something by Carita, a little bit of Filorga, maybe some Helena Rubinstein…bliss. The image above looks very promising – I can spot some old favourites straight off, and the little By Terry bronzer to the left actually makes me have heart palpitations.

You can subscribe for the new JolieBox UK through Boudoir Privé until the new all-in-one website is revealed. The first ‘newlywed’ UK box will appear in a couple of weeks’ time!
